Frequently Asked Questions

The frequency of your massage sessions will depend on your individual needs and preferences. Some clients come in weekly, while others come in monthly or as needed.


Massage therapy may help reduce muscle tension, headaches, stress, neck and shoulder pain, lower back discomfort, soreness from physical activity, and general tension caused by everyday stress.


Your session begins with a brief conversation about your goals, pain areas, preferences, and any concerns so your massage can be fully tailored to your needs.


Massage therapy may help reduce muscle tension, stiffness, and stress-related tightness in the neck and shoulders. Many clients seek massage for chronic tension caused by desk work, stress, poor posture, or overuse.


Tight muscles in the neck, shoulders, and jaw can contribute to tension headaches. Therapeutic massage may help reduce muscle tightness and improve relaxation, which can help decrease headache frequency for some people.


It depends on your goals. Clients dealing with chronic pain or high stress may benefit from more frequent sessions at first, while others come monthly for maintenance and relaxation.


Therapeutic and deep tissue massage are commonly used to target chronic muscle tightness, restricted movement, and areas of persistent tension.


Deep tissue massage can involve focused pressure, but it should never feel unbearable. Sessions are customized to your comfort level and communication is encouraged throughout the massage.


Wear comfortable clothing. You will always be appropriately draped during your session, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.


Massage therapy may help reduce muscle tightness and improve mobility associated with lower back discomfort caused by stress, posture, overuse, or muscular tension.


Coverage varies depending on your insurance provider and plan. Clients using HSA or FSA accounts may also be able to use those funds for massage therapy services.
We do not bill insurance but you can submit a claim after the massage directly to your insurance for reimbursement. 


Session length depends on your goals and the areas being addressed. Many clients choose 60- or 90-minute sessions for the best balance of focused work and relaxation.
We recommend 75 minutes for first appointments.
